Our childhood home at Trivandrum, Kerala was always buzzing with students learning music, concerts playing on the radio/TV. My parents who were musicians themselves, would host artists visiting our hometown for performances and my dad always made sure we learnt a song or two from each of them. As an 8 year old, I started training in South Indian Classical Music from my mother and Guru Meena Vaidyanathan, Shri Varkala C S Jayaraman, Prof G Seethalakshmi and Prof Mavelikkara P Subramaniam.

In 2001, I started performing Carnatic Classical Music concerts in Kerala as a duo performer along with my sister Karthika Vaidyanathan, with my father Trivandrum R Vaidyanathan accompanying us on the Mridangam.
What began as my parents' dream became a sincere pursuit of mine under my Guru Bombay Jayashri's kind and loving mentorship. I have toured with my Guru for performances and been a part of ensemble performances such as Bhaire Baanvari, Listening to Life, Chintaye Guruvaram, etc. I received the CCRT scholarship by the Central Government of India and MS Subbulakshmi Fellowship in Music by the Shanmugananda Sangeetha Sabha, Mumbai.

I was keen on collaborating with music producers which also led to sharing my productions on my youtube channel. I feel grateful to have the opportunity to perform with amazing artists, record beautiful songs as a part of Indian Films, Indie works and enjoy creating my own originals. I have recorded songs for classical dance ballet productions for over 12 years.
I recently composed music for two dance productions and an album reviving lyrical works of Sri Puvvada Ramadasu. More about my journey and recent works in the next pages.
